Project Description: In March 2021, Oxfam commissioned Afghan Australian Research and Management Consulting (ARM Consulting) to undertake the final evaluation of the Safh-e-Jadid project. Safe-e-Jadid is a 3-years project implemented by three national and international consortium partners with Oxfam in the lead. The project was implemented in the Herat, Balkh, Parwan, Nangarhar, Daikundi, and Paktia provinces of Afghanistan. The project aims to contribute to implementing and monitoring the Afghan National Action Plan (NAP) 1325 on women, peace, and security, with the main focus on increased security and justice for women and girls in Afghanistan. The project is based on three main pillars: (1) building capacities around the implementation of the NAP 1325, (2) changing attitudes and beliefs, and (3) advocating for laws and policies supporting inclusivity and justice. The final evaluation captures changes and achievements against the stated objectives in the logframe of the Safh-e-Jadid project.
